Wendy Copley Hoven is a proud 30+ year Army Veteran currently in the United States Army Reserves, a cherished wife, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, friend, and mother, a favorite at her local Zumbrota VFW Post 5727, and is a beloved member of her Zumbrota, MN, community. She is called “Chief” not only due to her Army service, but because she constantly and lovingly takes care of her family, friends, and neighbors. Now, she needs our help.
Recently, Wendy fell very ill. She has been in the hospital since Friday, December 11, and was transported via ambulance to St. Mary’s in Rochester. Her caring and competent medical staff is taking great care of her, but anticipate an extended stay. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, Wendy has not been able to regularly attend her Army Reserves. Her second income is from her job in the VFW cantina, though this income will also be affected while she is unable to attend work due to her illness. Her loving husband, Keith Hoven, a USMC veteran, is retired. The Hovens could use our help.
