Please help our rescue!
Spende geschützt
We are home! With the blessings of our generous donors (you!), which we are so very grateful for, we are in our new home and each of us is so happy here! We cannot thank you all enough!
We also have an exciting announcement to make! We have filed for 501c3 status and will have our first Board meeting this coming Friday!
We have sadly had to say our goodbyes to 7 of our seniors this year, which is always heartbreaking.
RIP Easter Bunny (Beagle - 12 yrs old), Chip (Beagle 17 yrs old), Heidi (Dachshund - 16 yrs old), Maximus (Beagle - 16 yrs old), Leonard (Basset Hound - 13 yrs old), Flash (Basset Hound - 12 yrs old), and Nana (JRT mix - 15 yrs old). Maximus (Beagle - 16 yrs old). Maximus was our first assisted hound. Gone but never forgotten.
God has a way of bringing in new needy babies; new faces for us to love, enjoy, and care for. We have welcomed Peanut (Beagle-12 yrs old), Lucky (Lab-Shep mix -18 yrs old), Jasper (Beagle - 11 yrs old), and Charlotte & Ryan (both Beagles and both 14 yrs old) into the rescue so far this year.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we move forward caring for and loving these dogs in need, and please prayerfully consider giving and continuing to suport our efforts, as our needs are constant with food, bedding, vet care, medications, etc. to keep our family in tip-top condition. Several of the dogs are special-needs babies, requiring special care and medications to ensure good health and comfort.

This is Dianne's story, in her words.......
I have needed to share this for almost 3 months, but just didn’t know where to start. In part, because I’ve been struggling with what happened while trying to prepare the next steps for the Hounds and me.
On November 8, 2016, we lost our dear friend and landlord of more than 12 years, Charles Rodgers. He was tragically murdered in his home on his property.

He gave us a home at no charge and supported the growth of this rescue throughout the years. It has taken me some time to wrap my head around the reality of this loss and how it now affects our future.
This property that we have called home for so long must now be sold. We have been instructed to vacate the property by May 8, 2017.
Our prayer and wish is that the new owner will sell us the approx. 2 acres we occupy. Either way, we will need funds to make a purchase in order to continue our rescue efforts - please consider a small donation toward land, every dollar counts - no donations is too small.
We have been proactive and are in search of property to relocate The Hounds of Peaceful Place should that be necessary. For relocation, we require land, a minimum of 2 acres and a building to house all of us, that includes me, the Hound Mom. This is a major undertaking and the clock is ticking.
For those of you who don’t know us, The Hounds of Peaceful Place Senior Hound Rescue and Sanctuary offers Assisted Hound Living (which equates to a Nursing Home for Senior Hounds). 501(c)3 is in the works.
Presently, we are a family of 47 hounds consisting of Bloodhounds, Basset hounds, Beagles, Dachshunds, Coon Hounds, and Hound mixes. As of January 2017, 15 are Assisted Hounds, retired here by their owner/family to live out their golden years with us.
Not to be forgotten are Pony “Carson”, Mini Horse “ Snow”, and Mini Donkey “Emmett” round out our rescue.
The Hounds and I are forever grateful to those of you who are supportive of my mission to provide a caring place of peace and love for Senior Hounds in their final years. As you can see, I need monetary donations (no amount too small) to continue The Hounds of Peaceful Place. Please share my mission with your family and friends and prayerfully consider helping the hounds with a donation.

Please leave a message here or visit our facebook page for more information or question regarding my rescue and sanctuary. Also, if you are interested in other ways to love and assist these senior hounds, I’d love to hear from you! ~ Dianne
