As a close friend of Renee and Bryan’s l am asking for the help they may not ask for.
Rhyn (12 yr old girl) and Morgan (10 year old girl) are dealing with a lot of emotional stress for being so young. They have had a rough childhood and bounced around a lot. Renee and Bryan had custody of them when they were 18 months old and 3 years old for 3 years after their biological mother endangered them on several occasions
CAS took them and placed them in foster care for 7 weeks until Bryan and Renee were able to go to court to take custody of them. They were integrated back with their father and he has been raising them as a single father
Their dad has been under alot of stress and has several medical issues. He couldn’t breathe and passed out and the girls called 911 and saved his life on Thursday Dec 16 night. The ambulance came and took him and the girls went to a neighbours house to care for them until he could come home.
Unfortunately, his status is he is in critical condition and in the ICU in a coma on a ventilator and life support due to congestive heart failure, severe edema, and severe pneumonia.
We are hoping for the best but it looks like a long recovery will be the best case. Renee and Bryan will have to convert the rec room into a room for the girls, purchase furniture after having to purchase everything for them from socks to a hairbrush (basic needs) and clothes as gifts with the amount of money that was available.
There is not funds for any extras such as games or toys or girlie make up and nail polish, these are now luxury items.
I can’t begin to imagine how hard this is for them to comprehend let alone the fear they may be orphans in the next couple of months. My Christmas wish is these girls feel safe and cared for while we wait to see how things unfold. Anything you are able to donate is so greatly appreciated and l know the family who hates asking for help, will appreciate it this time.
