Cisco Major's Veterinary Bills

On Saturday eve, February 28th, Cisco and his mom Jackie arrived back at their Ojai, California, home after picking up supper. As Jackie stood nearby, and Cisco took his normal walk around their yard, a stranger walking down the street came onto their property, seemingly to pet Cisco who is a therapy dog. In the blink of an eye, the stranger pulled out a steak knife and stabbed Cisco in the flank, injuring him critically.
Cisco was taken to a nearby veterinary hospital where he arrived in critical condition. A team of surgeons was assembled and Cisco underwent emergency surgery to repair a stab wound that penetrated/lacerated his intestine (with some septic leakage into abdominal cavity) and spleen. Because the knife was so filthy, and because of the septic leakage, there is a high risk of infection so the hospital has him under continual watch ~ he remains in critical care.
As you can imagine, the vet bills are very high ~ $4700 as of this afternoon, and could to rise to over $7000 by the time he is released. Jackie moved home to Ojai a few years ago to care for her ailing mother, Dee Pulley, who died just last year. Cisco is Jackie's heart ... her world.
What we are asking ...first... is prayer. Please pray for precious Cisco. Secondly, we're asking for donations to offset the financial costs to Cisco's momma. This is horrific crime  to an innocent, all-trusting, all-playful, all-loving dog ~ and heartbreaking for Jackie.
Please help if you can. God is good and good is God ... we thank you abundantly for your prayers and well wishes.
