2020 has certainly been a challenging year for everyone. As most of you know, Chuck worked at Ruby Tuesday for over 30 years. Due to COVID and lack of sales they closed the Brunswick, Ga Ruby Tuesday where he was a General Manager. If that wasn't bad enough they fired him after over 30 of service. Not only did he lose his job but he lost our Health Insurance as well. Shortly after this happened he decided to open up his own business doing woodworking. We went to events on Saint Simons, Jekyll Island, Pooler and elsewhere selling our Handcrafted Wooden Flags. The business was going well, slow start but we were doing well enough business to pay our bills and buy food for us and our 5 dogs. Right before we were supposed to do an event on Saint Simons Chuck started to not feel well. We went to Applecare last Friday , December the 4th and he tested positive for COVID. We also had a show lined up in Pooler the following week in which we would bring our flags and I had to cancel both events and we lost a lot of money doing this. The business was doing well and came to a screeching halt very quickly. The virus got worse which forced him to go to the hospital where he was admitted on Tuesday, Dec 8th and he is still there. They have him on maximum oxygen to help him breathe. I have no idea how we are going to pay the hospital bill. I know I can submit paperwork but it still will not cover all of our finances. With myself not working and the business put on pause we really are having a hard time financially which is why I set up this gofundme hoping to get some financial help that is very much needed for us and the business. I am not one to ask for help but we are really struggling and any amount that you can donate will help! Thank you to all that have reached out and everyone that continues to pray for us. I am not sure when Chuck will be able to leave the hospital and the bills keep coming in that I am having a hard time paying. Please help if you can and thank you. I love you all. Please continue to pray for my husband and myself.
