Everybody Chloe needs your help!
Little Chloe was diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) at the University of Penn Vet ER earlier this evening (Oct. 9, 2015). Chloe had a fall after her back legs gave out from the loss of feeling. They determined that poor Chloe suffered from an acute ruptured disc putting her at Stage IV IVDD and is in need of an immediate surgery to remove the pressure from her spinal cord. Chloe is staying at the hospital tonight and will be having surgery over the weekend.
After Chloe's surgery there will be a long road ahead in her recovery and rehabilition, but the good news is Chloe's prognosis for treatment with surgery is a very good one! .. and that is why she needs our help! Thus far, Chloe's medical care has cost upwards of $3,500+ and to complete the surgery, stay at the hospital, and for rehabilitation it will be another $3,500+. Spinal surgery is not cheap, and most pet insurance won't cover any dachshund spinal surgery because this condition is so common in their breed.
