Please help me get my car fixed.

I was in a car accident on March 17. I, an idiot, thought I had more comprehensive coverage from my insurance provider, but am on the hook for damages to my own car until they get the full report from the LAPD, which could take months. In the mean time I am taking LA public transit which is not maintained with wheelchair uses in mind (and barely maintained at all), or Ubers, which is expensive. I'm running into obstacles in getting a loan because I am currently unemployed.

Used cars are very expensive right now. I've already looked that up. Hoo boy.

The goal amount is from the estimate sent to me by the appraiser. No more. I would be very grateful for any amount you feel comfortable giving. No pressure. I know I don't have rich friends.
