Please Help Allyson Weber

Allyson is a sorority sister from
the University of Alabama. This is a FB post from her mother Janet Weber- Yesterday was a horrific day for my daughter Allyson who lives in Austin, TX. This is her apartment building. The fire broke out mid-morning and spread quickly. Luckily they were able to evacuate everyone...Allyson only had time to grab her purse! The weather was so cold and the power had been off since about 2 am. It is believed that someone tried to start a fire in their fireplace and it went terribly wrong. Allyson said that she smelled smoke just before they knocked on her door. She went down and sat in her car and watched as her home went up in flames. She was overcome with grief thinking about all her precious belongings and family keepsakes going up in smoke. And she was now homeless. Thankfully, some wonderful friends have taken her in and are taking very good care of her. Now, in addition to the shock and grief, she has to figure out what to do next. Of course, we are all thankful that she is safe. The rest will be taken care of in time.
