Please Support the Turkas Family as Penny Fights to Recover

My name is Dan Janeda and I am representing TJ Youth Girls Softball in an effort to raise funds for one of our players and her family. 10u Fast Pitch player Penny Turkas recently found herself admitted to UPMC Children's Hospital with an infection and brain swelling. Penny will be faced with tons of tests and treatment is uncertain at this time. Her parents Phil and Lisa are hardworking, wonderful people that deserve to be by Penny's side as much as possible. The TJYGS Board is asking all families to consider a donation to the Turkas Family. Beyond our organization we would greatly appreciate support from the Pleasant Hills and Jefferson Hills communities and beyond. We want to support Penny in her recovery and getting back to her vibrant, happy, and hardworking self, with the ultimate goal of seeing her back onto the softball field. This money will help with living and medical expenses for the Turkas Family as Lisa is self-employed and both parents are likely to need off work to help with Penny's care. Penny and The Turkas Family embody what TJYGS is about: hard work, community and fun. We are lucky to have this family in our community and we are asking that you please donate to help take some of the stress off of the Turkas's as Penny fights to recover.
