My name is Joe Sorrentino, and I am a teacher in Rahway. Two of my students suffered an enormous loss on May 21, 2022, losing their 8 year old sister to cancer.

 

It is with extreme sadness that we share the passing of Alyssa Lacewell. Alyssa was a 3rd grader at Grover Cleveland Elementary School in Rahway. She was a kind soul and will be deeply missed. She touched the lives of so many and it’s our turn to give back to her family in this time of need. We are raising money to cover the costs of the funeral and memorial services for Alyssa’s family. All funds raised will be given to Alyssa´s Mom, Melissa Terry by check. Any excess money will be used towards medical bills incurred from her brave fight against an aggressive brain tumor.
