It would be difficult to find a person who is loved, admired, or cared about more than James Frank Kentros (Jim). Heaven most certainly gained a great man on December 31, 2019 after Jim lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer, just four weeks after being diagnosed. His battle was over before it began. Losing Jim so quickly and tragically has been devastating for Shea, Colin, and Connor. Shea lost her best friend and husband of 22 years, and Colin and Connor lost their father, role model and mentor. They will cary his memory with them for a life time. He will never be forgotten.
Shea is an elementary school teacher in the Santa Ana school district who dedicates endless hours of her own time helping to ensure her students meet their educational and emotional needs. Shea is now suddenly a widow, a single mother and soul provider to her two sons, Colin, 21, who is in his last semester of college at Doane University in Nebraska, and Connor, 18, who is a senior in high school and will be attending the University of Utah to play D1 lacrosse in the Fall.
Jim will be deeply missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. His infectious smile, kind heart, profound character, honesty, positive attitude, humor, and his love of life and others made him everyones best friend. He was not only an amazing, loyal and faithful husband, father, son, and friend but he also spent years as a volunteer coach for Saddleback Valley Pop Warner football, Jr All American football and was an avid sports fan. Go Patriots!! For the past three years Jim has be coaching football for Portola High School, in addition to working full time as an accountant for CISSDM in San Clemente, a telecommunications service provider.
There is no way to fill the hole that Jim has left in his family’s lives. Funds raised can help ease the financial burden during this difficult time to pay bills, college tuition, and relieve some of the stress from loosing a second income allowing the family to focus on grieving and healing from this tremendous loss. One hundred percent of your donation will go directly to Shea, Colin and Connor. Your support is so appreciated, more than you could ever know.
A Celebration of Life will take place on January 10, 2020 at 10:00am at Santiago De Compostela Church in Lake Forest. All are welcome.
