Support Copley Family

It's with a heavy heart that I update this campaign to support the surviving family. Matt Copley passed peacefully to his eternal rest with his wife Jolinda by his side on Monday, May 27th. While Matt's suffering is over and his body is at rest, Jolinda will be facing medical bills, funeral arrangements and other financial uncertainty in coming weeks and months along with trying to usher her three young children through their grief.

I hope this campaign of support can give their family a little more financial security in order to focus her attention on rebuilding her life with her children. I'm so touched by the generosity shown by so many, even people that didn't know Jolinda and Matt. I cannot express my deep gratitude for your support.

Here is Matt's story for those new to this campaign:

Hi, I'm Dana and I'm raising funds for my dear friend and colleague Matt Copley. Matt is a loving husband, father to three beautiful children, an active member of his faith community, a valued employee and a dear friend to many people.

On March 18, Matt was rushed to the hospital due to severe infection and dehydration. Matt was admitted to the ICU where he began fighting for his life against mounting odds. With the skill of the medical staff and a lot of prayer, Matt finally stabilized and began the long road of recovery.

Matt remains in a critical care unit and is slowly beginning to breathe without a ventilator, speak, eat and move with the assistance of physical therapy. Matt will make a full recovery but the road will be long and the burden on his family has been and will continue to be difficult.
