Project Overview｜活動簡介

This June, our grassroots team of Taiwanese volunteers is back! While we have proudly marched in the San Francisco Pride Parade for many years, 2026 marks our second year participating with a dedicated Taiwanese-themed truck. This evolution from a walking contingent to a full-scale mobile landmark symbolizes our growing presence and our commitment to ensuring Taiwan’s spirit of resilience and inclusion shines brighter than ever on the global stage.

今年六月，我們這群居住在灣區的台灣志工再度集結！參與舊金山同志大遊行已是我們長年堅持的傳統，而 2026 年將是我們連續第二年以「台灣主題卡車」領陣出擊。 從早年的步行隊伍到如今的大型主題卡車，這不僅是規模的升級，更象徵著台灣在國際舞台上的紮根與壯大。我們將持續傳遞台灣的愛、民主與不被忽視的價值。

Our 2026 towel is more than just a souvenir—it is a piece of art that carries a profound message about our identity. We’ve upgraded the material and width for practical gym use, but the true soul lies in the design.

The Inspiration Behind the Design:

Our design is inspired by the 'Horizontal View of Taiwan' concept.

Traditionally, maps are drawn from a continental perspective, often placing Taiwan at the periphery. By rotating the map 90 degrees, we embrace a Maritime Perspective. When viewed horizontally, Taiwan stands at the center of the vast Pacific, looking out into the world.

This symbolizes our shift from being defined by others to defining ourselves. It represents a Taiwan that is brave, independent, and centered on the values of democracy and inclusion. We invite you to flip your perspective and see the world through Taiwan's eyes—a nation that is small but central to the progress of freedom.

設計靈感與寓意：

我們的設計靈感來自「橫倒的台灣地圖（橫觀台灣）」概念。

傳統地圖多從大陸視角出發，台灣常被置於邊緣。當我們將地圖旋轉 90 度，我們擁抱的是「海洋國家」的視野。橫著看時，台灣不再是邊陲小島，而是屹立於太平洋中心、面向世界的門戶。這象徵著我們從「被定義」轉向「自我定義」，展現台灣勇於突破框架、守護民主與多元價值的自信。我們邀請你與我們一起翻轉視角，從台灣的眼中看世界——一個雖小卻是自由進步核心的國家。
