Please Support Stephen Shepard Jr. & Family

Hello, my name is Kim McDaniels. Steve is married to my sister Pam and was diagnosed in April with stage 4 esophageal cancer (adenocarcinmo) with lymph node involvement throughout his neck, chest and abdomen. A very large tumor is blocking nearly 100% of his esophagus and pressing on his heart. Unfortunately, the tumor is inoperable, and his diagnosis is incurable. Steve has received radiation and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.

 

After his diagnosis, Steve was hospitalized for one month, receiving multiple blood transfusions and had a permanent feeding tube placed for nutrition as he cannot eat or drink. Since being discharged home, Pam has been his primary caretaker. He requires 24/7 care due to being too weak and fatigued to care for himself.

 

Steve & Pam have three beautiful children; Samantha (25), Stephen III (21) and Sophia (15). They also have been blessed with three beautiful grandchildren who adore their Dappa; Asher, Etta and Elsie. Steve is a family man; his children and grandchildren are his world. So as one can imagine, this diagnosis has devastated their family.

 

Pam has nearly exhausted all her paid leave from being home with Steve.  Steve is only receiving minimal income from disability but this is not enough to support his family.

 

I feel helpless for my sister and her family, and I wish there were more I could do. So, I have decided to initiate a Go Fund Me. I hope this will help alleviate some of their financial burdens.

 

Please help us raise money for Steve and his family. All donations will go directly towards monthly bills. This will allow their family to be together for a little while longer.
