My precious friend of 22 years, Sheree Carrejo, was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. She has had a rough last year. After losing her job of 10 years as an elderly dementia caregiver, she realized that God had other plans for her. Her mother-in-law, whom she loves dearly, had a stroke. She was the perfect person to give her the care she needed while she recovered. She continued to look for a job when she was not taking care of mom. The rough news came after her annual mammogram came back with a mass. The MRIs, and the biopsy have confirmed that the cancer has spread to her lymph node also. The surgery for the port is done and she will need 5 months of chemotherapy. Surgery and radiation will follow. If you know Sheree, you know she is a fighter! She will beat this!
