On Sunday June 29, 2025, Katria DelaCruz, daughter of Rubymer Grace, has gone on to meet our Father in Heaven. There are no words to describe the feeling of losing a loved one, let alone your own child. Grace's husband David Ryan and I served together as Chiefs in the US Navy we've been friends for a very long time and he's always been there for me. I have been struck with tragedy myself losing my own wife in an accident and nearly losing my own. David was one of the first people to see me when I left the hospital and has always been there for me anytime I needed him.
Their daughter was full of life. Grace and Ryan would always speak highly of her. She graduated high school a year early and got into UCLA pursuing a degree in psychology. She was smart, athletic, and a has a beautiful soul. She was active in her church and was once part of the healing ministry, providing prayer and blessings to those who needed it the most. She was a true walking beam of light. Everyone loved her.
I know the heavy burden it is to lay someone to rest. During this extremely difficult time I am asking you to help ease their burden by making a donation in any amount possible. When I lost my wife, one of my closest friends set up a GoFundMe while I was still in the ICU. I know this will help their family tremendously.
Any remaining funds will be deposited into a Trust for her two younger siblings Aziel DelaCruz and Ethan Ancheta.
