Please Support Ron’s Battle With Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, we’re Ron and Solimar, and we’re reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help.
In April, Ron went to the ER thinking he had the flu. When his symptoms worsened, doctors ran a CT scan — and our world changed overnight. He was diagnosed with choriocarcinoma, the rarest and most aggressive form of testicular cancer. By the time they found it, the cancer had already spread to his lungs, aorta, and lymph nodes, causing severe internal bleeding and difficulty breathing.
Ron tried to keep working as long as he could, but it became impossible. Chemotherapy brought a grueling schedule of infusions Monday–Friday lasting 6–8 hours a day. On his “off” weeks, he is often in and out of the hospital due to extreme side effects. For several weeks, he had a tube in his chest to drain internal bleeding and stabilize his breathing.
On top of everything, Solimar is caring for Ron full-time while also helping raise her young granddaughter. It’s a heavy load — physically, emotionally, and financially — and we’ve reached a breaking point.
Ron applied for disability, but we’ve been told it could take 6 months to a year to be approved, and most applications are denied the first time around. His surgery to remove a tumor is scheduled for August and recovery will take weeks. Meanwhile, we are running out of money and are at real risk of losing our housing.
We never imagined we’d be in this situation— but here we are. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. If you can’t give, please consider sharing this campaign with others who might be able to help.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us during this difficult time.
With love and hope,
Ron & Solimar
