Support Portsmouth United Methodist Church: Help Us Fund a New Septic System
Nestled on Aquidneck Island in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Portsmouth United Methodist Church has been a cornerstone of our community, providing unwavering support to those in need. Our church is more than just a place of worship; it’s a beacon of hope and compassion. Today, we need your help to continue our mission by raising funds for a much-needed new septic system.
Our community outreach programs have made a significant impact:
Community Meals
Church members are active in local community meals programs helping those in need of a hot and nutritious meal.
GOD’s Community Garden
For the past 16 years, GOD’s Community Garden has planted, grown, and distributed over 70,117 lbs. of fresh vegetables and herbs. This year, we’re continuing our mission to provide free, healthy produce to our neighbors in need.
Brown Bag Sunday
We collect canned and non-perishable food items for families struggling to make ends meet. Your contributions help stock pantries and provide essential nutrition.
Rope of Love
During the cold winter months, our Rope of Love initiative collects winter coats for families who need warm clothing. Your donations keep our neighbors warm and safe.
Portsmouth Nursery School
An onsite preschool that has been helping prepare our youth for the future for over 50 years.
Christmas Tree of Giving
Each holiday season, our Christmas Tree of Giving provides gifts for children from families in need, ensuring every child experiences the joy of Christmas.
Thanksgiving Day Meal
We host a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, offering a warm, welcoming place for those who might otherwise be alone or without a meal on this special day.
These programs are essential to our mission of service and compassion. However, to continue these efforts, we urgently need a new septic system. Our current system is failing, and without it, our ability to support the community is at risk.
We humbly ask for your support in raising the necessary funds. Your generosity will ensure that Portsmouth United Methodist Church can continue to be a pillar of hope and assistance for those who rely on us.
