On October 8, 2018, my brother Mathew went into the hospital for heart surgery. The surgery itself went well, however Mathew was met with a myriad of unexpected complications after the surgery.
Over the next three weeks Mathew put up an incredible fight; often with a step forward, and two back. His family and friends are very saddened that he lost this battle on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
Because Mathew was only 54, this was completely unexpected and no one was prepared for his loss, mentally, emotionally, or financially.
We are reeling from the estimated cost of all related expenses, $6,000 - $10,000.
The funds I am trying to raise would go towards his funeral expenses and closing out his estate. After some discussion, his kids have asked that I be the Administrator of Mathew's Estate.
