Hi Everyone--

We are friends of Jesica Giannola, asking for your help.

For those of you who don’t already know Jesica, she is an amazing human. A mom, a grandma, and someone who has overcome overwhelming odds in her life, while never losing sight of her goal – to help people struggling in our community. Despite her own struggles, Jessica has volunteered countless hours to serve people in need.

Now Jessica needs us.

A few days ago, Jesica began having severe abdominal pain that increased quickly and dramatically to the point where she could not walk or assume any comfortable position. She then got a fever and shooting pain in her back and finally went to the ER yesterday. She needs surgery--for kidney stones or gallbladder, not sure yet--but the staff suspects she is septic. At this time she is awaiting news and surgery in the ICU and might be there another day or two.

She does not have health insurance – a two week gap in coverage means that in the midst of this crisis, there is no assistance covering the bills. And the bills for all this will be astronomical.

What we can do to help, right now, is make donations to help her and her family get a start on paying off what will be a gigantic medical bill. Jesica works hard for our community and both her challenges and resilience are an inspiration to us all. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign widely.
