My name is Laurie Caramanico. I’ve had the privilege of knowing my dear friend Nicole Migliore since college. Everyone who has ever met Nicole has agreed that she is a selfless person who lights up every room that she enters. Nicole is the mom to two beautiful girls who both attend St. Joseph’s University. Rachel Elizabeth will be a senior this coming fall, and Renee Christine will be entering her sophomore year. Nicole recently moved back home to the area after raising her girls in Maine. She works in healthcare as an occupational therapist in home care.

Recently, Nicole has been given some devastating news. Despite going through breast cancer and treatment five years ago, Nicole has now been diagnosed with stage four metastatic breast cancer. She has multiple spinal lesions that have caused a great deal of pain and have resulted in her missing work. So far in her journey since March, Nicole has undergone radiation, targeted therapy with kinase inhibitors as well as 2 types of infusions for targeted hormone therapy to her tumors.

Unfortunately, Nicole has not been able to work during her recent illness and therefore has not had a stream of income. However, Nicole is optimistic and she is planning on returning to her work as soon as possible. Nicole does not yet know what the future needs may be for medical treatment and financial obligations. We are asking if you are able to contribute to this GoFundMe to help offset some of Nicole’s expenses.

Anyone who has met Nicole knows that she is the type of person who would give you the shirt off of her back. We are asking for your generosity to help Nicole get back on her feet.
