My name is Miesha Holiday and I have been on the Navajo Spirit Tours team since 2007 when our company was founded in Monument Valley, Utah on the Navajo Nation. 

I am so fortunate to work with my family (Garry Holiday Jr is the owner and operator, as well as my Dad). They have been struggling to get by with even the most basic needs as Covid 19 has completely shut down their business leaving them with a massive amount of debt. Unfortunately, they were unable to retrieve a business loan at this time.

We have not been able to operate since March11, 2020 as the Navajo Nation has put complete restrictions on non-essential businesses to help flatten the curve in our area. Because many people in our area have no running water or electricity the virus has spread much faster than anticipated and is now the 2nd highest in the United States. For this reason the Navajo Nation has completely shut down most businesses and all tour companies, until further notice. 

We absolutely love what we do and we feel so fortunate that we have been able to teach our culture and history to so many people who have become our friends from all over the world. We love our team and we want to help them and their families during this difficult time. 

If we raise more than we need we would also like to help other small businesses in the area aswe know this has been hard on everyone as well as those who may not have the basic needs like electricity or running water. We would love to help in any way we can. 

Please help us to keep our doors open, to help our employees at this time of need with their last paychecks, our guests who cannot come at this time and don’t have the option to reschedule, and basic expenses for operating when the time comes that we will be allowed to open. They are ready to lose their home and are unable to afford electricity when their electric company opens up. They will also use any expenses to keep their home as well. We are in need of any support, even if you can only share. We are indebted to you and appreciate you so much!
