STRANDS short film fund
Donation protected
Hi there! My name is Danielle Axten and I’m directing a short film called “Strands” that follows a young woman who, after losing her girlfriend, comes home to an open door and a missing cat. What appears to be a break-in may be something more sinister.
This is an independently funded passion project, and myself and my amazing crew would be extremely appreciative of any support. We all love creating entertainment and are excited to creat something of our own to share.
Thank you!

BUDGET BREAKDOWN:
Equipment- This is one of the most costly sections in our budget. Renting high-quality and somewhat affordable equipment still runs fairly expensive, especially when factoring in hiring specialized crew members to safely handle it. We're estimating about $1,900
Crafties/Catering - We have an amazing crew coming on the film offering up their time and skills. To keep everyone well-fed and cognizant, it's important for us to provide them it's necessary for us to provide meals for our crew. We're allocating about $300 to feed and hydrate our team for 2 12-hour days!
Production Design & Costumes - Since our story heavily relies on creepy practical effects, this contributes to our larger allocation in order to acquire all of the items necessary to deliver this story in the best way possible. This could cost us up to $400 for production design, props and costumes.
Post Production - The process doesn't stop after we wrap filming. We will continue working on this project for the coming months editing, coloring, sound designing, and scoring it. We have locked in the most talented individuals, including a grammy nominated composer to help created the creepiest music score possible. This in total will run us about $1400.
Once again, we cannot thank you enough for your support. This project would not be made possible without y'all. I can't wait to share the story of STRANDS with you. :)
