Please Support My Mom, Pnina Zoharah: Healing Through Crisis in the Middle East
Dear Friends, Family, and beloved community,
I’m reaching out from the bottom of my heart to ask for support for my mother, Pnina Zoharah, who is currently living in Israel under the daily and nightly trauma of war. Most of you know I moved to Lisbon in 2024.
A contribution of any amount is deeply appreciated.
Pnina is not affiliated with any government or political ideology. She is a civilian—born in Israel, lived in Northern California for decades and returned to Israel, 7 years ago. My mom has found herself caught in the middle of a devastating conflict in the Middle East. Like so many innocent people, she is simply trying to survive.
A Life of Healing Interrupted by War
For more than 30 years, my mother has served as a therapist, healer, and spiritual coach, offering trauma support, yoga for the eyes, and soul-centered guidance to children and adults across the world.
She returned to Israel seven years ago to continue her work and be closer to family. But for the past two years, escalating violence and instability have made it increasingly difficult to maintain a steady income or a sense of security.
Now, due to the current extreme escalations in the Middle East, her life has come to a near halt.
The Current Situation
• Each night—and often during the day—she is forced into bomb shelters with hundreds of other families as missiles fall overhead.
• The entire country is in a state of emergency, and daily life has been deeply disrupted.
• Airports are closed, and there is currently no safe way in or out of the country.
• Self-employment is nearly impossible: people are understandably not investing in therapy, healing, or coaching when they're in survival mode.
• The financial and emotional toll is overwhelming—with no regular income, and no safety net, it’s becoming harder to cover even the basics like food, rent, and medicine.
• Creating new work or attracting clients is deeply challenging when your reality is dominated by sirens, destruction, and time spent in shelters.
This is a far cry from the peace and connection of the San Geronimo Valley, California, where my mom and I lived for 30 years. That community and its values have shaped our hearts and guided our lives, and it’s from that foundation that I turn to you now.
How You Can Help
We are raising funds to help Pnina with:
• Basic needs: food, rent, utilities, and healthcare
• Space to breathe and emotionally recover during this war
• Potential relocation in the future, when and if it becomes possible
Pnina is still offering online healing sessions and coaching when she is not in shelters. If you prefer to receive a session in exchange for support, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Any help—whether a donation, a session, or simply a share—is deeply appreciated.
From Our Hearts to Yours
This is a call not rooted in politics, but in humanity.
My mother has spent her life helping others—holding space for healing, offering tools for inner growth, and bringing calm to people’s most difficult moments. Now she needs help simply to stay safe and survive.
Please know that supporting her is not an endorsement of any war or government.
We are both deeply committed to peace, love, and nonviolence in all forms.
If you are not able to Donate, I ask that you please share with your social networks and community.
