My name is Jeremiah Martinez, and I am currently an independent student at Pepperdine University, pursuing my bachelor’s degree in psychology with the goal of dedicating my life to service.
Two years ago, my life was permanently changed when I lost my sister. Her passing deeply impacted my family and forced me to confront grief, responsibility, and the direction of my life at a young age. In the midst of that loss, I made a decision not to allow tragedy to define or derail me. Instead, I committed myself to growth, faith, and becoming the kind of man who shows up for others in meaningful ways.
I chose my major and career path intentionally. I have hands-on experience working in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), supporting children with developmental and behavioral challenges associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Through this work, I have seen firsthand how patience, structure, and compassion can change lives — not in theory, but in practice. These experiences confirmed my calling to serve vulnerable populations and advocate for those who often go unheard.
My long-term goals are to serve my community with integrity, discipline, and empathy. Beginning as a first responder to make a meaningful impact in my early career, I plan to use the resources to further my education in psychology. Ultimately, I want to become a board-certified behavior analyst to be an advocate and mentor for these kiddos. This path is not about status or income. It is about stewardship: using what I’ve been given to protect, support, and uplift others.
At this moment, I am facing an immediate and critical financial need. I have an outstanding balance of $30,000 on my student account, and this balance must be resolved by this Friday, January 16, in order for me to remain enrolled and registered for the Spring 2026 semester. Until this balance is paid down, I am blocked from registration and cannot continue my education this spring.
I have pursued every available option through the university, including meetings with financial aid, appeals, and federal assistance. While some loans are being processed, the funds will not arrive before the registration deadline. Without outside support, I will be forced to step away from school immediately — not because of lack of effort, discipline, or commitment, but because of timing and financial constraints.
This fundraiser exists because I need help now in order to stay enrolled and continue the work God has called me to do.
I am not asking for a shortcut or to be relieved of responsibility. I am asking for help during a moment where I cannot move forward alone.
Scripture reminds us in Galatians 6:2, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” I am humbly inviting you to partner with me during this urgent season so that I can remain enrolled, continue my education, and keep serving others through the calling God has placed on my life.
Every contribution — whether large or small — goes directly toward reducing my student balance so that I can register and remain at Pepperdine University this semester. If you are unable to give financially, I would be deeply grateful for your prayers and for sharing this page with others.
I believe that God provides, often through His people. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for standing with me during this critical moment.
With gratitude and faith,
Jeremiah Martinez
