Members of the Flynn staff are raising money on behalf of Ms. Alejandra.

Ms. Alejandra is a dedicated and important member of the Flynn school community. Her work as a custodian is paramount in allowing our students to thrive. She works to keep our school a warm and welcoming learning environment. Alejandra is one of the many SFUSD staff affected by the faulty payroll system SFempower. Ms. Alejandra has gone unpaid for her hard work since June. This is disgraceful and disrespectful. Alejandra has a family to care for and rent and bills to pay. Despite not receiving what she is owed, Alejandra continued to show up to work. This shows her commitment to the Flynn community and her big heart. Alejandra is the best custodian we have had at Flynn and we don't want to lose her. It is outrageous that we have to ask the Flynn community to raise money for Alejandra, an employee of SFUSD, but the school district has not come up with a viable plan to pay its many employees that have not received paychecks. They keep telling her that it is a matter that takes time and that she needs to wait. That is unacceptable. We are asking our community to show Ms. Alejandra the same support and love she shows us each day. We ask that you donate what you can and that you voice your concerns to the district as well regarding this despicable situation SFempower has created. Ms. Alejandra es una persona dedicada e importante de la comunidad escolar de Flynn. Su trabajo como conserje es fundamental para permitir que nuestros estudiantes prosperen.
