Hi, my name is Oliver. I have been in the scouting movement for 8 years now and I am passionate about scouts. Following a selection process, I am honoured to have been chosen as one of seven young people from Maidstone West Scout District to go on the 26th World Scout Jamboree to Poland. I am proud to be representing my country and Kent on the Jamboree.

The total cost of attending this Jamboree is split between me, my district and a group effort involving all seven of us. Thanks to amazing support from the district, a third of the cost of the trip has already been covered - but I still need to raise £2,400 for the trip. This is a large amount of money, but it covers all travel, accommodation, training camps leading up to the event, kit and activities whilst we are out there.

This Jamboree is more than just a trip, it is a once in a lifetime experience to:

-Meet scouts from 150+ countries

-Learn new skills and build on leadership qualities

-Experience other cultures

-Give back to my community through what I learn through sharing knowledge I gained whether it be to younger scouts, through my cricket clubs, or through community links, I want as many people to share in the knowledge I gained.
