Please support Mark's recovery

On September 8, 2024, our family received a terrifying message that no family wants to get. Our brother Mark was in emergency surgery and fighting for his life.
Mark was doing some painting on his house, and fell off of the roof. His injuries were extensive and life-threatening. With two punctured and collapsed lungs, Mark was able to call for help. When she didn’t come immediately, he somehow managed to crawl his way to where he could be seen. The neighbor at first thought it was her kids playing. By the time she got to him, he had no pulse and was not breathing.
Mark list of injuries include
• Two punctured lungs
• A tear in his aortic artery
• A bruised femoral artery
• A torn kidney
• A torn spleen
• A crushed pelvis
• A crushed wrist
• Multiple broken ribs
• A broken femur
• Broken radial and humorous bone

Mark has had multiple surgeries in the four days following his accident. He is still in the ICU but is stabilized, and has started to be able to have conversations, and is even cracking jokes with the staff. He is remaining positive despite being in so much pain.
In May 2024, Mark and his wife went into contract on a new home and closed on it in June 2024. What he did not know at that time, was that he would be laid off from his job, due to downsizing, also in June 2024. During this time, Mark has been seeking other employment and using the time to rehab his new house so that they could move into it. He was also getting his other house ready to sell. Mark currently does not have full-time employment (and therefore no health insurance coverage).
Many of you know Mark from work. He began working telecommunications in 1996 for Sprint, and in 2014 he joined HMI Technical Solution – a division of Henkels and McCoy Inc. Most recently, until June 2024, he was a sales director for JMA wireless in the central region. Over the past 30 years he and his coworkers have had many opportunities to collaborate and work together, and many know how often Mark has gone out of his way to help others in need.
It has truly been a miracle, not only that Mark has survived, but that he does not have paralysis or a brain injury. We are so thankful for this! They also expect him to eventually make a relatively full recovery. The recovery, however, will take an extensive amount of time which has not yet been determined.
Due to the length and severity of his injuries– we are hoping some might be willing to donate to the cost of his hospitalization & recovery. He and Michelle are so thankful for any and all support.
From Mark: ‘It’s so humbling to have to come to others for help in a time like this’.
With Heartfelt Gratitude,
Mark
