My name is Mariah Washington and I am going to be your future Obstetrician and Gynecologist. I have been studying hard at two different colleges, Cal State San Bernardino and Victor Valley College, completing my second Associate's and my Bachelor's in Psychology with a Minor in Biology while working as a registered behavioral technician.

I am a first-generation college student and absolutely dedicated to the plan. Having a focal point in psychology while pursuing medicine is salient to my mission as I will be entrusted with not only the monitoring and procedures of a woman's body, but also the life they may be creating. With complete transparency, I've dedicated my life mission to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of the mothers and future mothers of the public in honor of my son, Moh.

In the achievement of my goal to attend medical school, I am going to Thailand for 5 weeks this summer with Cal State to obtain firsthand experience in public health. We will be learning the traumas patients endure as well as the resilience they obtain afterwards, learning how to function in community-based health, understanding global health challenges, and also supporting the mental health of these patients.

I've worked very hard to save what I have for this learning experience specifically but I'm asking my community to please help me get to my goal!
