UPDATE: Hernia in spinal column was successfully removed, she is recovering and will need 8 weeks of therapy. We are feeling very blessed and she is happy to be home and very thankful to you all who have been following her story, donated and love her.
My daughter, Lisa Bingham, a divorced mother of 3 boys has been providing for her children with miniscule assistance from her ex husband. She recently moved to a large city where she could make more money to bring her youngest two children to join herself and her oldest (occuring this summer). About a month ago she started experiencing numbness and severe pain in her right leg. After meeting with her general physician, two surgeons and physiotherapist, she received word that 2 of the disc's would respond to therapy, however one area has a hernia that requires surgery, her surgery is scheduled and Lisa's has a medical coverage that is a workers medical insurance. Many people opt to go outside of the system for fear of being maimed or killed by inadequate providers, which frequently happens. Here is why we are sharing this. Lisa has received an estimate for her medical expenses from her separate MetLife insurance, which is posted here. Her surgeon had stated that it will be 500,000 pesos minimally, which is 30,000 US dollars. We know this is a tough time of year to request help, but please help with whatever you can, thank you in advance for your blessing.
