Please support Kinsley beat cancer

Dear Friends, family and compassionate supporters,

It breaks my heart to share this news. Our friend and brother, Kinsley has just been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer.

Nasopharyngeal cancer, also known as nose cancer, is a disease in which cancer cells develop from the tissues of the nasopharynx.

It is a type of cancer that is very hard to detect as the early symptoms are quite non-specific (painless lump in the neck, nosebleeds, etc…), resulting in many nasopharyngeal cancers only being detected when they are at stage 3. The cure rate after treatment for stage 3 is only 60% and it drops below 50 percent in stage 4.

For those who doesn’t know Kinsley, he just turned 44 years old this year and is a loving father of a 6-year-old daughter. If people have to describe him, it will be a loyal and genuine friend. He will never let down his friends and family. He is known to be a fighter.

Unfortunately, in Mauritius we are not very advanced in this kind of cancer treatment. His doctor has suggested and advised him to get treated in Singapore. Nasopharyngeal cancer is one of the common cancers in males in Singapore and they have one of the highest success rates for this type of cancer.

The cost of the treatment will be around Rs4.1 million in Singapore. We are still short of Rs1.1 million (not including the travel, accommodation and food expenses).

We are looking for the kind generosity of family, friends or anyone who is willing to help to collect Rs1.4million (A$44,000/$30,000/ £23,000) for him to get treated in Singapore.

He needs to be treated the earlier possible to avoid spread of the disease.

Our goal is to raise the amount stated to cover:

We want to get all the chances on our side; we want him to get treated, come back and be able to watch his beloved daughter grows.

It is a tough time for him and his family, and it is going to be tougher with the treatment. But we are all here to support him. We want him to know that he is not alone, that we are by his sides. Let’s all pray for him.
