Hello friends,

This is humbling, a little embarrassing, and hard to write but I’m struggling and could use some help.

I recently had a hip replacement and I still need the other one replaced.

Unfortunately being self employed means I don’t qualify for disability. I wasn’t able to work for three months after my last one and I won’t be able to work after the next one for another three.

A week after my hip replacement my cat needed a lifesaving operation that was incredibly expensive and not covered by insurance. (He’s doing great now)!

My savings however are not.

Murphy’s law now means my car just died and is going to be almost four thousand dollars fix and that’s still less than replacing it so I’m here asking for help.

I’ve set up a few fundraisers for friends when they were in need and I know that my community is strong.

In our country healthcare often comes down to a popularity contest and that’s sad and scary.

I know I still have a lot of privilege, I absolutely understand if you pass on donating. Sharing this is super helpful too!
