Please Support Joe and My Family in Their Time of Need

Hi everyone… as it pains me to make this GoFundMe, it is very much needed. If anyone has had the privilege of meeting my beautiful mother, or my amazing, smart, selfless, and hardworking stepdad, then you know just how amazing they are and how much they would do for the people around them. Unfortunately, my family's lives have been put on pause as everyone else’s worlds just keep spinning.

My stepdad Joe is 70 years old and has been in my life for as long as I can remember. He has worked so hard his ENTIRE life, and he’s always been the one I can count on. The one to listen to all mine and my friends' silly stories, or pick us up after a night out.

Last week, the restaurant our family owned, “MOMS RESTAURANT” in Kearns, closed down, and that was my mom and Joe's sole source of income considering they worked so hard every day at the restaurant. Aside from that, my mom and Joe were diagnosed with COPD, one right after the other.

Friday last week, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She’s already beaten thyroid cancer 2 times. And that same exact day she found out she had cancer, my wonderful stepdad Joe passed out in the bathroom and was pronounced deceased for 25 minutes. My mom called the ambulance and performed CPR. Once the ambulance got there, they were able to inject something into his heart to get his heart beating, but he has since been in a coma.

As my heart breaks while I write this, I just know his brain works in a different way than everyone else’s, so I’m hanging on to as much hope as possible, praying he comes out of this and he can come home so we can help him recover. If you can’t help financially, please just keep my family in your prayers as this is a really, really hard thing for all of us, and losing him would be losing our backbone.
