Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out on behalf of Joanna Lujan, who is bravely battling a rare and painful condition called Eagle Syndrome — a disorder that affects less than 4% of people worldwide. It causes a ligament in the neck to calcify. This causes pressure on the aorta and carotid artery, leading to severe pain, daily vertigo, and other serious complications.
Unfortunately, because Eagle Syndrome is so rare, few specialists in the country are able to treat it properly. This means Joanna Lujan will need to travel out of state to get the expert care and surgery she urgently needs.
While medical insurance covers part of her medical expenses, it does not cover the travel, lodging, or many of the specialized medical costs involved in her treatment. These expenses are overwhelming, and the longer she waits, the more her condition worsens.
We’re asking for your help to ease this burden and get Joanna the care she deserves before it’s too late. Every donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward:
• Medical consultations and treatment costs
• Travel and lodging for out-of-state appointments
• Recovery expenses and necessary follow-up care
Your kindness and generosity mean the world to Joanna Lujan and her family. Even if you can’t donate, please share this fundraiser to help spread awareness of Eagle Syndrome and connect us with others who may be able to help.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, love, and prayers.
