Please support Jessalyn's fight with cancer

Firstly, we would like to thank you for taking the time to read about our dear daughter, sister, fiancée, colleague, and friend, Jessalyn Fowler's story. Jess is a 28-year-old mother to two lovely boys; now 3 and 10, and finace to her partner Chad. Those who know Jessy can immediately recognize the twinkle of love on her eyes, her big heart, vibrant personality, bright smile, and that cute little giggle when you make her laugh.

Some 3-4 weeks ago, during what seemed like the peak of the global COVID-19 pandemic, Jess was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive synovial sarcoma in her right foot. It is so rare that this type of sarcoma is diagnosed in, on average, two people per 1,000,000.

Jess and her family currently reside in Kamloops, BC, but her treatments will be taking place in Vancouver. You can usually find Jess at her job as a barber with regulars in her chair for the past ten years. Since her diagnosis, Jessalyn had to make the difficult decision to take a leave of absence from her job and creative outlet. However, despite the utter devastation, Jess has remained positive; she rolled up her sleeves and got to work on preparing to beat this horrible disease.

Jess has always been an extremely hard worker who laughs in the face of any challenge and knows how to adapt to overcome any battle. There is an endless stream of people who can recall how Jess has had an impact on their life, and if you call for anything, Jess will always answer.

Through this all, you can still hear her giggle, see that burning ember of hope, and feel the energy engulfed behind her fight.

The diagnosis of the rare genetic sarcoma has highlighted that despite Jess being caring and compassionate for others, and one of the hardest workers we know, there are just some things that she cannot fix alone. Jess needs our help. Jess needs our help now!

We are fundraising because this rare genetic sarcoma is belligerent, and unfortunately, the bills are too. Your donation will contribute towards lessening some of the ever-mounting medical expenses (and associated mental burdens) for Jess to receive the essential treatments she so desperately needs right now (surgery, travel, gas, medications, and so much more)

You might be thinking; how can I help? You can help in so many ways, big or small:

Spare: any funds, no amount is too small!
Share: this GoFundMe with friends, family and social media groups to help spread the word!
Care: about our Jess and consider reaching out personally

Our whole family, especially Jess's three and ten-year-old sons, would be incredibly grateful for any donations to help their momma. Jess means the world to us all.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for any donations you can afford.
