During the evening of June 22nd, our dearest friend Jerry Dodrill was involved in a major cycling accident. He sustained serious fractures to his leg and ankle, as well as breaking his lower sternum and bruising multiple ribs.
If you have ever had the pleasure of his company, you are well aware that Jerry brings with him a genuine love for life. Through his professional ventures as a photographer and expedition director he shares the world with all of us through his eyes. And he is a founding board member of the B-Rad Foundation committed to his core in supporting youth and their communities thrive though health, stewardship, and adventure. He is the epitome of a world citizen, and we are blessed to count him among our tribe.
But this accident has derailed his life in such a way that WE need to rally for him. He was literally about to leave for Kyrgyzstan on a multi-week photo-expedition. Instead, he is now in a wheelchair and prepping for surgery to repair his leg in multiple places.
Jerry Dodrill is one of those people who would never hesitate to show up for anyone in need, whether in his circles or not. We have all counted on his friendship, honest wisdom, and heartfelt support over the years. It’s hard to ask for help, especially for folks who have spent so much of their life dedicated to helping those around them.
So we, his close friends and community, are asking for him. Jerry Dodrill needs our help. We want to raise enough money to cover his lost wages and medical expenses as he moves forward. The months ahead will not be easy for him. And that’s where we can make a difference for all the right reasons. Please join with us in support of this amazing man as he begins his slow journey back.
