Please Support Jaden's Brain Surgery and Recovery

Update: Jaden found out today that he requires a second surgery on Dec 17. Of course this is upsetting news especially around the holiday season. 19 year old Jaden Boutilier will be having brain surgery scheduled October 22, 2024(hopefully sooner) for the removal of large tumor recently discovered.

Jaden has been experiencing symptoms since July 2023 with no results from xrays or meds. Luckily, an opening became available earlier for an MRI that he has been waiting for since March 2024. A second MRI was obtained a day later and then the next day Jaden was told he had a brain tumor. His mom and he travelled to Halifax from Cape Breton to see a neurosurgeon on Monday to discuss treatment options.

Jaden faces a 12-18 hour surgery with a hospital stay of at least 2 weeks in Halifax and a long road of recovery in Cape Breton. It is unknown at this time if Jaden will require more surgeries or other treatments.

Jaden works casual at a local hospital and does not qualify for sickness benefits. He is currently off work and will be for the foreseeable future.

His mother, Nadara Billard, will have to take a leave from work to be with Jaden to travel and stay in Halifax for the surgery and 2 week hospital recovery along with whatever else may be needed with his recovery when they return to Cape Breton. Both Jaden and Nadara will be out of work for a significant amount of time.

Nadara is a hardworking mother of three children. Jaden is the oldest. Any donation or support with expenses going forward is wholeheartedly appreciated to allow Nadara to remain by Jaden's side without worrying about work or providing for her other children, Jailyn and Jake, as Jaden recovers in Halifax and then at home.

Jaden is also the son of Kenny Boutilier. He will also be in Halifax to support Jaden.
