Please support Izzy in his fight against Leukemia
Donation protected
Hello,
My dear friend Susan, who is an Alpha-1 patient like me, had some terrible news. Her son Izzy was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Izzy is 26, and lives in Brooklyn and works as an illustrator. The treatment for AML involves destroying his bone marrow. This has left him in a vulnerable state with no immune system. He is not sure if he will need a bone marrow transplant, but his health situation is very serious.
As a cancer survivor I know how this devastating diagnosis affects not only the patient but their family. The added anxiety of not being able to work and worrying about everyday expenses only compounds the issue. Izzy’s Mother Susan Had a respiratory illness like many of us Alpha’s get and could not be with Izzy when he started his Chemo.
Izzy has the support of friends and family, who are praying for his survival and recovery. The medical bills and his expenses are a serious challenge and can be overwhelming. Please consider donating no amount is too small.
This is a personal appeal and in no way is affiliated with The Alpha-1 Foundation.
Sincerely,
Dan Grimm,
The Boyce-Blanchard Family.
