From Dartmouth College to Merrimack College Powerlifting Club, this year marks my final opportunity to compete at USAPL Collegiate Nationals. As I prepare for this final competition of my collegiate career, I am reflecting on how transformative powerlifting has been in shaping me into the strong and resilient individual God created me to be. Powerlifting has even more so developed me into a strength and conditioning coach who can walk through the fire alongside her athletes.
After I made the difficult decision to end my collegiate softball career, I felt I had lost a piece of my identity as a competitive athlete. However, powerlifting and all the supportive, inspirational teammates I have met along the way provided me with a new identity and reawakened purpose. This sport has shown me how to persevere, how to stay confident, and what it means to lead athletes through struggles with faith, staying authentic, and demonstrating grit. Representing Merrimack College at nationals is marks a monumental opportunity for me and the history of our program, which I hope continues to thrive in future years.
The 2026 USAPL Collegiate Nationals will be in New Orleans, LA, on April 9-12, 2026. To make my goal of competing possible, I am seeking help covering the transportation, lodging, and registration costs. A donation of any size is deeply appreciated, and even sharing this post with others is a sign of your support.
Thank you for playing a crucial part in this chapter of Merrimack Powerlifting and my career! I hope to make you proud, representing Merrimack College and giving God the glory on that national platform.
