Help Dave Fight Glioblastoma

Dave is a devoted husband and father, a loving friend, and an avid pinball enthusiast. He has always found joy in spending time with his family and friends, enjoying life, playing and restoring pinball machines with friends and all things Darts!

Recently, Dave’s world changed in an instant when he was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.

Not long ago, life was about family, friends, plans, and the things Dave loved. Now, he is facing a frightening and uncertain journey filled with medical appointments, treatment, travel, and difficult decisions.

The Support From the NHS

Throughout this incredibly difficult time, the NHS has been there for Dave and his family. From his diagnosis and investigations through to his ongoing treatment and care, the doctors, nurses, specialists, and wider medical teams have shown tremendous compassion, professionalism, and dedication.

Dave and his family are incredibly grateful for everything the NHS has done — and continues to do — to support him. Their care has been a source of reassurance during an overwhelming and frightening time.

Alongside this NHS support, Dave and his family are exploring specialist treatment and expert medical care in Germany, hoping to access additional expertise and treatment options for his complex brain tumour.

Why Germany?

Dave is seeking specialist care in Germany, where he may have access to experienced teams specialising in complex brain tumours. His care may involve specialist consultations, further investigations, ongoing treatment, and assessment of available treatment options and clinical trials, depending on his individual circumstances.

This journey comes with significant additional costs. Medical expenses, consultations, medications, travel, accommodation, and everyday living costs can quickly add up — particularly at a time when Dave is unable to work while undergoing treatment and recovery.

How Your Support Can Help

Funds raised will help with:

Specialist glioblastoma treatment and medical consultations in Germany
Travel to and from Germany for treatment and appointments
Accommodation and living costs during treatment
Medications and other medical expenses
Everyday living expenses while Dave is unable to work
Other essential costs throughout his treatment and recovery

Every donation, no matter how small, can make a real difference.

Your generosity can help take away some of the financial pressure from Dave and his family, allowing them to focus on what matters most — his treatment, his recovery, and spending precious time together.

Dave has a difficult road ahead, but he should not have to walk it alone.

With your support, we can help Dave access the specialist care he is seeking while continuing to benefit from the support of the NHS here at home. Most importantly, we can help give Dave and his family some precious breathing space during an incredibly challenging time.

Please consider donating to Dave’s fight against glioblastoma.

If you cannot donate, please share this fundraiser with your friends, family, colleagues, and wider community. One share could reach someone who can help. Every donation, every share, and every message of support bring Dave and his family a little more hope.

From Dave and his family, thank you. Your kindness, generosity, and support mean more than words can ever express.
