Hey Everybody,
Thank you all for your generous support. We are so close to reaching our goal! James (Jimmy) Nolan, the co-organizer of the campaign, is in contact with the rehab facility daily to receive updates on how Cliff is doing. So far he's doing really well! He has been sleeping well and enjoying the group sessions. Jimmy and I will both review a full accounting of all expenses incurred so far, such as rehab, travel, hotels, medical care, and towing his car. The funds will formally be in Jimmy's possession and will be spent on behalf of Cliff and all of the needs listed. Any excess funds will be used to make sure Cliff has any other necessities needed like an eye exam and glasses, clothing, luggage, etc as well as other unforeseen expenses. To those who know Cliff or those who are seeing this through friends or family, thank you for taking the time to read his story. Some of you may be aware that Cliff is struggling with a drug addiction. Friends and family recently discovered he has been using heroin, meth, and a deadly drug called fentanyl. These drugs have completely taken over Cliff’s life. When we learned that Cliff was in the Columbus, OH area, several of his friends and family came together to launch a weeklong effort to find him and get him into detox and rehab. After their heroic effort, he said yes to treatment and has started a very painful road to detox and then to recovery. Cliff is placing his trust in the Lord, and is now in Florida at a detox center.
As grateful as we are that Cliff is getting help, his journey is only just beginning. His family is doing their best to support Cliff, as they are so relieved that he is getting help, but the cost to pay for his rehabilitation is not something they were prepared for. We are reaching out to Cliff’s broader circle to help support him in this next step. Friends and family are working to get Cliff health insurance, but he needs help right now. The expenses are through the roof, including detox, rehabilitation bills, therapy, medical care, clothing, glasses, and much more. Even the efforts to get him to Florida have come at a significant cost. We’re asking for everyone’s help in supporting Cliff’s road to recovery and essentially saving his life. Please give generously, every little bit helps.
