Hello, wonderful supporters!

I am Robert Berkelhammer, a passionate human comedy and companion animal author and devoted pet caregiver. I'm reaching out to share my journey with you and request your generous help.

In June 2018, I experienced a life-changing event when a roll of roofing paper accidentally fell from a house roof and caused a concussion during a petsitting job. Since then, I've been facing challenges that have impacted both my health and my dream of bringing joy to the world through my work.

I am seeking your support for two important reasons:

1. Head Injury Recovery: The journey to heal from my head injury has been a long and demanding one. Unfortunately, the medical expenses for my treatment are not fully covered by insurance, and I face ongoing costs for therapies and specialized treatments that are essential for my recovery. Additionally, I am eager to invest in high-tech immune support machines that will significantly improve my healing process, allowing me to be less dependent on uninsurable office visits.

2. Knee Injury Rehabilitation: Alongside the head injury, I've also been dealing with a knee injury that requires dedicated rehabilitation and therapy. The process is challenging, but I'm determined to regain my strength and mobility.

3. Publishing My New Book - Quirky 101: The pecuLIAR and unEXPECTed: I'm incredibly excited about my latest book, a delightful comedy combined with an English as a Second Language guide. Titled "Quirky 101," this book aims to bring more joy into the world while helping both adults and children master the English language. Within its pages, you'll find seven heartwarming short stories featuring dogs and cats engaging in the most amusing Quirky Things! I need funds to publish and promote this new book.

For those who aren't familiar with my previous work, in 2015, I proudly published my first book, Pet Care Givers and Families: Getting the Most from Dog Playgroups, Pet Sitters, & Walkers. My goal is to raise $45,000 to cover the costs of the immune support machines, long-term medical expenses, and the editing and publishing of "Quirky 101."
