Hello everyone. First of all thank you for all your support, post, thoughts and prayers. I know Tony, his family and myself all truly appreciate them.
A little about Tony. Tony is an Afghanistan veteran who served over seas for his country. His braveness and loyalty to the red, white and blue is why we can do what we do each and everyday. We all know Tony to be a selfless person, he is someone who will help anyone he can. He’s funny, he’s smart, he’s emphatic and has a very kind soul. He lights up a room anywhere he goes. He has a beautiful wife and two beautiful children and anyone he meets becomes a friend of Tony’s.
Tony was in what we would call a freak hunting accident. I got a call from his wife on 4-12-19 saying that tony had been shot, which he indeed did. He was life flighted to the nearest hospital 1.5 hours away in Oklahoma City. Tony sustained a severe injury to his right eye-which they were able to save thankfully, but only has about a 20% chance of regaining vision. Tony also sustained an injury to his left lung and currently has a chest tube in while he is being hospitalized.
Being a veteran the VA will only help so much. Knowing he will be off work for several months while he heals and attempts to regain his vision I want to make sure his only focus is being healthy for himself, his wife and two young children.
Tony isn’t one to ask for help-especially monetary needs. So in a crucial time in his and his families life I am asking for help for him. I know that Tony would greatly appreciate anything you can give to help him in this time of need.
Tony is a fighter and he will overcome these obstacles in time.
