Friends, Family, Community Members and Our Kaiser Permanente Colleagues,

On November 14, 2019 our country experienced another tragic, senseless school shooting at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California. Team member Katie Kline’s 14-year-old son Andrew was one of the shooting victims – he was shot in the thigh and taken to the hospital where he was released later that night. (Her stepson, Brady, who also attends Saugus, escaped from the school uninjured.)

Five students total were shot in the quad
area of Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, and two of those children passed away in
this horrific act of violence. Included is
information about the Saugus High School shooting and the investigation.

While Andrew’s physical wounds will heal, the emotional toll is much greater. We hope you will consider donating to help support Katie, Andrew and their family as they recover during this difficult time and get Andrew any help he may need to work through this tragedy.
