No words could even come close to the genuine gratitude, appreciation, and cherished thanks our family has for the love, support, and kindness offered to us during this devastating time. We will never be able to fully express what these things have meant to our family. These acts of support and kindness will be fondly kept in our hearts forever. Please know that your support means everything to our family during this painful time.
Friday January 8 was the beginning of an almost 2 week period of overwhelming sadness, fear, disbelief, and helplessness as our family watched Mike fight for his life. Nothing would have prepared our family for the events that took place on this day and for the next 13 days. Despite heroic events to try and stabilize him after the events on January 8th, Mike's wife (Jenn), guided by family and an excellent medical team, ultimately had to make the most agonizing and difficult decision in the best interest of Mike. Mike passed away on Thursday January 21, 2021 at 3:58 PM in the arms of his wife and surrounded by those who love him the most.
As a young couple with a young child, Mike and Jenn never could have imagined the overwhelming reality of life after such an unexpected, devastating loss. Now in the midst of trying to grieve, Mike's wife needs to navigate many uncertainties and seemingly overwhelming financial costs and obstacles that come from such an unexpected loss.
Many of you have reached out to Jenn and have asked how you can help during this time. With the sudden loss of Mike's income and medical benefits, costs of final expenses, and other financial implications as a result of his sudden passing, there is yet another burden placed upon Jenn's shoulders. After much persuasion, Mike's wife agreed to set up a GoFundMe account.
In lieu of flowers, the family is kindly and graciously asking that donations be made to Jenn and Gavin. Jenn has only a short period of time to pay many of Mike's final expenses, which adds even more anxiety for her and her family. There is no donation too small, as every dollar will be used to cover many of the final expenses, soaring medical bills, and Gavin's school tuition. Please know that every single dollar that is donated takes away a bit of the enormous weight on Jenn's shoulders as she navigates life without her husband, best friend, and father to Gavin. Donations can also be made directly to Jenn and Gavin or via the funeral home (Jenn Fulcher c/o Buch Funeral Home - 21 W Main St, Mount Joy, PA 17552).
If you are unable to donate, please know that your continued prayers for Jenn and her family's strength, hope, and peace would be equally appreciated during this time of devastating loss.
