Gabriel will be accompanied on the piano by his mother, Joana Vieira Shumova. The entrance fee is 10€ and all proceeds will go towards the new saxophone.

Hi, I am Kristina Griffith and I am contacting you with the hope that you can help to achieve young Gabriel's dream of raising 5,000€ for a new, much needed saxophone.

Gabriel Shumov is only 12 years old and in 2025 he has already won three 1st places in major competitions, i.e. the Francisco Rosada Internal Competition as soloist, the Festival Intl. Cidade do Fundao and most importantly the 'Vitor Santos' Intl. Saxophone competition (part of the Festival Intl. de Saxofone de Palmela - infant category).

Gabriel started his music studies at the age of 8 at the Conservatorio de Musica de Loule - Francisco Roasdo, joining the saxophone class of professor Carlos Ramalho. He has participated in several masterclasses, as well as in wind and saxophone orchestra courses.

In 2024 Gabriel has also won three national and international competitions.

Gabriel is the son of Mikhail Shumov, the lead cellist at the Orchestra Do Algarve and Joana Shumova, a well-known pianist.
