Please Support Amy in her fight for Breast Cancer

Hi, my name is Amanda and I’ve known Amy and her beautiful family for the past 4years. I wanted to start a Go Fund me Page for Amy and her family during the toughest time she is currently facing and to call upon our amazing community to help her and her beautiful family out.

A selfless beautiful woman, you may know Amy as the educator at the Baptist Preschool. Your child may have had the privilege of receiving Amy’s support throughout their little lives to assist them in reaching developmental milestones and guide them along their path.

Amy is a wife to Patrick Mortimer from Komatsu in Gunnedah and a mother to their three beautiful children Madelin, Landon and Lila.

Recently Amy and her family were dealt with a diagnosis that no one was expecting! Amy at the age of only 37 was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. A word no one wants to hear! Amy is currently receiving Chemotherapy treatment which has limited her ability to work due to the suppression of her immune system, the crazy side effects and fatigue. Amy has been told cancer treatment is now something she will have to face for the rest of her life.

The saddest part of this whole story for Amy is that it has become her children’s journey too and seeing them live with the uncertainty that cancer creates is very overwhelming for them as a family.

It is and has been a very difficult time for Amy and her family. So, we are calling on our amazing Community to help Amy and her family during this challenging time.

Unfortunately, with Amy not working and the ongoing nature of her treatment, the travel to and from medical appointments is adding up! Amy and her family would be forever grateful for your help if you are able to do so.
