Hi, my name is Teresa Moore and I have set up a GoFundMe account for Alana Jewell, as she begins her recovery after sustaining a seizure and medical emergency on Saturday, March 30th 2024. Alana is one of my daughter’s best friends and they have been friends for many years. Alana is like a 2nd daughter in our house and part of our extended family.

Alana sustained a severe concussion and a bleed in her brain after a fall and was in Intensive Care at UMASS Worcester for 4 days.

As you might imagine this has been very overwhelming for her, her family and friends these last several days. Alana is now doing well and the bleed has been stabilized. She is stable enough that she was able to be discharged home late yesterday afternoon!!

Alana will need to heal and recover from the concussion as well as be sure there are no further seizure events. As a result of this emergency, Alana will lose her license automatically for the next 6 months and will not be able to drive or work for the foreseeable future. This will place extenuating strain on her and her family as she continues to heal and manage her medical care. Your donation will help Alana directly with her basic home living expenses, food, car payments and insurance while she recovers.
