Please Support Abel Gracia Fight Aggressive Cancer
Donation protected
My name is Aida Gracia. I’m asking for help for my brother Abel Gracia as he continues his battle against cancer. Abel was told his time was limited and that his life expectancy is a few months or less. I am seeking help in raising funds for his medical expenses with providing him the treatment, services, equipment, and care needed.
Abel was told he had Squamous Cell Carcinoma Stage 4 oral cancer in September 2024 and did all the required things. He had surgery in October to remove the cancer and followed with chemo and radiation therapy in November. Abel had complications during this time as many people do. He was hospitalized in Dec-Jan and experienced one of the toughest fights of his life with infection and sepsis, among other things. Miraculously, he won this fight and came home. By February, we were told his cancer not only remained but was very aggressive and spreading quickly. In March, Abel was told there was nothing more Dr.s could do. He was told that his cancer was no longer treatable, only manageable, and that his life expectancy was to be a few months. Immunotherapy and chemo were the only option for him to extend life. In April, Abel began immunotherapy and chemo. Soon after Abel was hospitalized and continues with complications including surgeries and infections. We wish to have Abel in his home where he can be comfortable, but we need help with his expenses and obtaining things needed for his treatment and care.
Abel was remembered in 2020 for helping save dozens of lives in an apartment fire. Even though others see Abel as a Hero for his actions, he doesn’t see himself as a hero and will always say he is just thankful he saved what can’t be replaced which is the life of his neighbors. Anyone that knows Abel knows he is the type of person that will give you the shirt off his back. He has the biggest heart and thinks of others before himself. Abel loves his family. He loves playing pool. He is a loving father of two daughters who he says are the Joy in his life. He is a caring son who many times helped care as a provider for his mother. He is a great son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, a friend to many, and a Hero as well. We ask for your help during this difficult and challenging time for Abel. Miracles do happen. We believe in the power of prayer. We have faith. We know Doctors are not always right. Please help and donate if you can. Any amount is appreciated, and if you can’t donate, please share or keep Abel and the family in prayers. All donations will go towards Abel’s needs and care. Thank you and God Bless.
