Hi, my name is Ashlie, and I’m starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend who is going through something no one is ever truly prepared for.

Her mother — her best friend, her rock, her everything — has been fighting cancer since 2004 with unimaginable strength and faith. After years of surgeries, treatments, and pain, the cancer has spread, and doctors have shared that there is nothing more they can do. Her mom has made the heartbreaking decision to stop fighting and live her remaining time in peace.

This has devastated the entire family, especially her children, who love their grandmother deeply. She has been their light, their comfort, and their biggest supporter.

Right now, my friend is trying to hold everything together — caring for her mom, her children, and herself — all while carrying the unbearable weight of knowing she’s losing the most important person in her life. She’s exhausted emotionally, physically, and financially.
